If we were to poach a commentator then i would go for Andrew Voss,he was outstanding on Premier Sports during the world cup

but would he come?

He hates Leeds more than Clarke.

If Andrew Voss came even my wife would watch superleague.

She loved his commentaries during the world cup but hates Eddie & Stevo with a passion.

That is simply because of their commentary style since she doesn't know either of them from Adam.

Re O'Connor, I agree about his poor delivery & constant use of cliches.

I also consider Carney & Wells to be very good.

Clarke, really rated him as a player but now his bias really grates.

I think it's time for Eddie & Stevo to be put out to grass, in how many professions do you do the same job at the same level for over 30 years?

I think all commentary teams in all sports need to be refreshed far more frequently than currently occurs. Over time they tend to become parodies & caricatures of themselves.

Just don't like the set-up of having around 5 voices talking during the match. You have Eddie, Stevo, Clarke, one other guest (McDermott, Rea, Cullen etc) and then Stuart Cummins, also we have sideline reporters.



I don't see this in any other sport, football on all channels and RL on the bbc just have the normal 2 man team which will jump to the studio guest once or twice a half for 30 secs.



Even if they got new guys in it'll still have a problem of being overloaded.

OF-Vossy ,Rabbits and co are all top quality commentators as are their summerisers.

Cot damn it's like piccadilly ciricus in that commentary box. What an earth are they thinking? Well what we need to do is pack as many clowns and co-commentators in as is humanly possible.



At first i thought having cummins in was OK, for explaining decisions and stuff. But he has all the charisma of a dried out dog turd and he ends up having little squabbles with eddie and stevo about technicalities.....or worse, we get even more over the top scrutiny on e-v-e-r-y single call in the game.........was there a fingertip in there?

Not sure what Cummins is there for, to be honest.



He's put in a very difficult position of sometimes having to be critical of former friends and colleagues, and on occasion tries to convince himself black is white just so he doesn't have to.



Stevo just contradicts everyone for the sake of causing an argument. Unlike Phil Gould though, his points are more often than not total nonsense. He has a set of cliches that get rolled out every game.



Time to show both the door, and take the fat-headed oaf O'Connor with them. He can come back when he can put a sentence together.

Yep. Got to say I really enjoyed the BBC commentary and presentation during the World Cup.



2, sometimes 3 commentators.

Chappers as host with some knowledgeable guests who can have a bit of a laugh but it's not like a discussion down the pub.

I never LOL. Im more of a haha person but.

I like Cummins being there. It does clear up things a lot sometimes. He does still get things wrong, but is much clearer and more knowledgeable than the other clowns with it.
