| Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"So that's about £250,000 down on revenue.
Even more spectators defecting to watch Leeds United.
Leeds Tykes looking certain to be relegated (so even less income).
Having to finance the new South Stand.
No wonder Gary the gob was trying to deflect attention away from Leeds.

| 1,300 ticket sales is a significant down turn add to that the spend on the day + merchandising and you are looking at a 400k hole.
GH will have a major problem at the end of this season when he needs to find quality players to replace the likes of Peacock, Webb, Buderus, Ali, Kylie Senior etc and that excludes the likes of Sinfield who are coming to the end of their careers.
Hopefully GH has noticed RL is not soccer where fans will attend regardless of the quality on the pitch

That smell will be because your nose is too close to your a-hole Mick! The Bulls are having to give theirs away because of the fear of a resurgent Halifax reclaiming its supporters. They have a right to be concerned I'd say. Go 'Fax!

For all the wannabe accountants out there.....Lets say we don't match last seasons ticket sales by the time the first game at Headingly is played (which im sure wont be as a high as the current figure by then but for the sake of arguement we'll say it will), averaged out is approx. £253k but of those who decide not to but a season ticket this term due to whatever reason, they choose to 'cherry pick' therer games this year. Lets say they all pick 10 games each over the course of the season (so that means another average) and with match day price thats approx. £273k (so already +£20k). Merchandising (again for the sake of arguement) is affected by 25% approx. -£7.5k. Spend on the day is affected by 50% again approx. so -£85k.
So in total that is £77.5k down on last season not the £250k - £400k everyone likes to think.
I don't think we'll be a million miles off last season sales by the time we play our first home match.

| When was the last regular season SL game at Headingley to post a four-figure attendance?
Given the season ticket sales thus far for 2011, there might be the prospect of a few four figure attendances against the likes of Quins, Crusaders, Salford and Catalans.

Good point. Would be a sad occurance if thats the case. Sure there's still plenty of cash rolling in from other source though

25th July 2003 V London Broncos (8,231)
Since then Leeds have racked up 98 consecutive 10K + attendances in the SL Regular Rounds at Headingley.

Thanks TVOC.
I'd an idea it was a while ago.
Season ticket sales are crucial to maintaining that record, as is Leeds form. I think they'll just get away with keeping up that record in 2011 as they play Quins, Salford, Crusaders and Catalans at home early doors. Quins first up followed by Salford. Enthusiasm and believism among fans won't be adversely affected that early.
Crusaders at home would have been a four figure possibility but Leeds should get away with it given the Bank Holiday Monday scheduling of that fixture.

| Getting to 100 consecutive league gates in excess of would a great achievement.
I wonder when was the last time that was achieved by any RL team?
When I started to attend HQ on a regular basis any crowd over 10K was exceptional.
How things have changed for the better.
I do suspect that our crowds will be in negative correlation to those at Elland Rd, particularly in such poor economic times as now when disposable income is under more pressure.

Possibly because few of us read the YEP, since it's Leeds' (evening) paper, same way few of you guys are likley to read the T&A.
But more to the point, because (apart from Geldhill, obviously) few of us are much interested in [ischadenfreude[/i, recognising sorting our own issues out is a load more relevant than gloating about the possible loss by Leeds of some glory supporters.
There is indeed a short thread on RAB about this, started by Gledhill. But pretty well no real bites, and to be honest what adverse comment there is has been largely stirred up by your own Billy Rhino wading in with his size 13 troll boots.

I'd also suggest that id Hetherington says "We are expecting a last-minute rush" he's not just saying it for the sake of the armchair accountants on here - He'll know the month by month breakdown from previous years and know that a proportion of people always leave it late.
Also I read somewhere else that Hetherington said that season ticket sales were slightly down but corporate sales were up (sorry can't find the article now) - so all the wigan fans etc can probably stop worrying - I'm sure we'll continue to be a club run on a sound financial footing for the foreseeable future

I am sure you will. No-one with an ounce of sense could deny that about Leeds under the current administration.
