Questioned this as well. Its obvious that MC dosnt know his first choice line up. The backs are good enough if you change Holly for Jones but the pack is quite frankly very poor.Ive been banging on but you cant replace some quality players with players who arnt good enough and expect to compete.We have what like 10 props at the club but i only rate Aizue as good enough for this level of rugby the rest are average at best.



I just cant understand some of the selections, i mean Greenwood on the bench? Its not going to change the game swapping the full backs is it? Jones isnt good enough and anyone with half a brain can see it yet we have Holly playing in the 23`s who even at this stage in his career is twice the player of Jones. Out of the pack you can take Aizue, Penky, Beswick, Bannister and Barlow and that is it.



At least the staff and players get another holiday in France.

The big thng tonight was that the game went ahead without incident - and it appears it did. AND - I enjoyed myself!!!! - as it should be!

Disgraceful refereeing, who to be honest on that showing, shouldn't be refereeing a national conference game for a while, never mind a championship game containing last years grand finalists. Twice reversed decisons he had made, went to the video ref every try, penalised in general play for very strange things, and only once actually blew up for infringement at the ruck (amazingly that was actually against us). We seem to again be in the same boat as early last season, or maybe a couple of seasons ago when we played Cas in the challenge cup, very one dimensional. We have very little idea as to how to break them down, after having no joy from quick play the balls. We will only succeed with this, if a referee penalises teams for slowing down the play the ball, unfortunately tonight Laughton didn't...... Miles is still not up to speed, tonight at least shows Fieldhouse is up to job, and should be first choice for a few games now. Beswick was superb, tackling everything and basically playing 6 the second half. Worrincy did well, always looking for work. I agree with the previous post though, forward wise we are lacking, take out Bob, penky, sam, aizue and bannister and we're nothing.

Didn't seem to be anything to spoil the night going on away from the game. Plenty of Fev fans staggering about after the game and handing out a bit of friendly banter. As it should be.

You can't really say he cost us the game. But that was some pretty dire defending. Especially from a 'warrior'.

Just watched the first half. The decisions the Ref actually makes are correct, the problem is that he misses so much.

Don't you know if you ever played 10 minutes for Fax in the last 10 years you get signed.

We love ex players especially if you are Halifax born and bred or live in the town, don't matter how good you are!
