Regarding the agreement with CMBC, thank god thats all sorted. It will hopefully put an end to the 'rent' bickering and whilst I have said plenty in the past about it, I think the majority of us have got fed up of it and just wanted an amicable end. Afterall, the sensible ones amongst us want both clubs to be successful down at the Shay.



The comment made earlier in the thread "fortunatley for you the council has once again bent over for you" made me chuckle. SST bent over backwards for FCHT. HRLFC have now negotiated their own agreement. OK, it could have been handled better but its now sorted and it sounds as though it strengthen's Fax's case for a place in SL.

I support both clubs like many, I am more Fax than Town but like both to do well.

On the subject of rent you seem to have missed the point that Town got a good deal when the club reformed and NOBODY went on about how low the rent for Town is - like less than half what the rugby pay. So nobody 'bent over ' for Town then???

The point is matey that no matter what league each club is in the rent is the same per game, do you want the Council to put it up if and when hopefully Town get into say the Conference?? and Fax into SL?

The thing you seem to miss is Fax create more income for the stadium (Council now) due to the bars being busier and open longer plus having the outsales under the South Stand add to that the away supporters like Widnes using the North Stand.

So you expect us to pay more??
