How can you let a referee from Batley ref a game for Batley...it stinks especially with his one sided performance...About time rugby league sorted this out..Tha amount of penalties heinvented ib second half was unbelievable. never mind forwar pass for one try and ball that went dead for their last try....touch judge stood his ground for both but the batley player...sorry ref overuled both...unbelievable

Many of our players had a worse game than the referee.

Was stood with a load of Batley fans and they weren't too pleased with his decisions in the second half either.

pains me to write it but Batley took their chances and deserved the win.



Fax showed character in 2nd half but the shockingly bad 1st 40 performance was just too bad.



what was the logic in not going for goal on the stroke of half time with buzzer having sounded? says it all really!

I am afraid, I agree with both of you. A combination of a biased referee and un-smart play gives a game that's tough to win. We obviously lost that game when we were still in Spain for the first 40 mins, and the extremely dubious penalty on 79 mind. Even karl, on radio Leeds, wasn't really sure about it.

Even with a poor ref we should have still been able to pull out a win. But I agree, don't want to see him back any time soon. Some of the calls he was making were shocking.



What was the last penalty for?

It seemed to me that Blackie was harshly targeted, he got a kicking on the ground by their no 5 and a few cheep digs from Moore. (No change there then).

I thought that was a strange option as by kicking to touch you only had one tackle. We should have gone for goal

What a bunch of whingers. You don't like losing that's your trouble. The ref gave Batley nothing in the second half. His bad decisions started the roll that nearly gave you the game. Bad ref, yes....Biased no. Get over yourself and accept you were beaten by a team who wanted it more.

The bloke at the end who was nearly blowing a fuse shouting at the ref when he came off the field summed it up for me.

Read above. Original (fairly new) poster criticised the ref and one other agreed with him. That does not constitute a bunch. We were pathetic in the first half and Batley played well, In the second half we finally put it together and were the better team. In the end Batley just won, end of.

What cheap digs ? He was only on the field 15 mins........dont talk about cheap digs you have the master at that Bully Boy Barlow......the stereotypical school bully. every skirmish he goes running in looking for the little fellas (half backs & Wingers are his speciality) the minute Manning squared up to him then he himself.......what a big man he is.

The first half try to batley which was a million miles forward (which was discussed by thevref and TJ) effectively Won you the game. We just don't like losing in an unfair manner.

Now you get me going, I wasn't going to post much whilst still full of emotions.



Batleys second and third tries were blatantly forward passes, one the touch judge even stood his ground on, only to be overruled by Mr Batley. I have never seen so many forward passes go un penalized.



Then there is the 5.9 dive on 79 minutes, a penalty? Come on.... even Karl, talking on radio Leeds wasn't convinced.



I firmly believe that we threw the game away in the first 40 minutes when Batley outplayed us and out enthused us, but Calland summed it up by saying we were dreadful for 40 minutes and we had a half where every 50/50 decision went against us.



Fair play to Batley, they stuck in there and begged for a penalty at the end, which was gifted to them, but they were only in that position due to poor decision making on behalf of Halifax.
