The club got exactly what they deserved today - thinking they could turn around after two days and beat Hunslet. Massive disrespect shown. No greater motivation for Hunslet, and it showed. As horrible as they were, they fully deserved their win. It would have been a travesty if 4 halifax players wouldn't have so easily fallen of their winger in the last minute to let him score.



Why the short turnaround? Just so we could play on the sunday? More ££? Who knows

Or possibly to avoid playing midweek before you play Leigh?

Monday or Tuesday night? Allowing another vital day or two for recovery.

Halifax Town play on Tuesday at The Shay, so Tuesday is out, plus i would think the ground staff would want more than a morning and afternoon to carryout any pitch repairs. Same with the football so that would rule Wednesday out. So realistically you only had Thursday this week or Sunday.



We didn't lose this game because we played on two days rest. We lost because we played badly and Hunslet played pretty well when they were close to our line. We dropped the ball far too many times and it was the defining factor when we'd got the draw and couldn't hold on to it for one final set in the game to close it out.

2 days turnaround is NOT the problem, we have same thing come easter,

No, I don't think the turnaround is the sole reason we lost the game.



However, of course it will have had an bearing on todays result. If you think the players were back to full health after 2 days after having a big game against Widnes then its just ridiculous. If you have ever played rugby I'm sure you will be aware of how your body feels after a game!

Why can't you play the day after the football? Leigh have today and there were also 3 games on consecutive days on our pitch over the CC weekend.

too many of the 2nd string haven't had enough game pre-season game time.



one things for sure we cant play that bad again!

All I'm saying is the ground staff may not want us to play the next day as they may not be able to repair it as they'll only have a morning and afternoon before the night game. Since we don't own it, it's not up to us.



If the pitch was in a good state, it wouldn't be an issue.

Can't argue much with pinball today, we played badly, Hunslet played well. We looked like we thought we only needed to turn up to win in the first half, injuries didn't help and I thought MC didn't play enough experienced players today, we could have done with a Larder or the like out there just to steady the ship. On the whole I thought Hunslet deserved the victory although we should have had a penalty try when Chapman tried to decapitate Branighan.



On the plus side, the lineswomen was lovely and she didn't get a decision wrong all game.
