No matter how much you loathe the fact he is a Wiganer, you have to admire that Sam Tomkins is having a great first season in Super League. Some may say it was a shock he got called up in Tony Smith's "new look" England side.

Well for him, the announcement was. In fact for most players included and excluded it was. Smith hadn't even had a chance to ring the players to pass on the messages. In fact the RFL didn't want it getting out. So, they blamed a hacker.

Imbeciles...

But it isn't the first time that top secret RFL news has got out. Like a draw for the cup last season, leaked onto the RedVee forums via a poster's secretary. A whole lot of suggestion RE the probability of someone guessing the right draw ensued, however, for one person to be so sure of a draw that was to allegedly be "live" later on that day is almost absurd when they do get it right.

The constant bounce of incompetence from the RFL is forever holding back the game. Die-hards, who have evolved over the past few decades into enlightened beings, will hang their head. What national institution can't protect it's information from a simple hacker? It isn't like a bank who want to keep the information of their customers accounts, and their executives embezzlement, a secret. Even those blithering idiots in Parliament kept their shady doings a secret until someone went all Dickie Silverwood and blew the whistle.

It is high time for Red Hall to pick its ideas up and move into the late 20th century. Start playing catch-up, then try and join the rest of us in the 21st Century.
